She says it was the first contest she'd ever entered. Like many teen girls, Katherine Schmidt has her bedroom plastered with pictures of popular stars ripped from the pages of Tiger Beat magazine. More than 50 photos, particularly of The Jonas Brothers,
adorn her walls and even her ceiling. Now the Lower Macungie eighth-grader is getting her chance to meet some celebrities when she heads to Hollywood today as a winner of a contest to spend a week with the stars.
Katherine, whose name was plucked from thousands of entries, says it was the first time she ever entered a contest and she
can't believe her luck. She and her mother, Susan Schmidt, will spend an all-expenses-paid week through Sunday in Hollywood that will be documented in the December issue of Tiger Beat. Tiger Beat editor Leesa Coble says the itinerary is top secret, but last year's winners rode the rides at Magic Mountain amusement park with Nickelodeon
star Devon Werkheiser; went shopping with High School Musical's Ashley Tisdale, got bowling tips from Mitchel Musso of '' Hannah Montana'' and attended a live taping of ''iCarly.''
Nothing really going on with Devon right now. I will be working on new things for the site very soon. So, look out for that. I've been sick lately
